     'So cute...' You thought to yourself as you looked at the kitten behind the glass of a petshop. The store was only right across the street from your apartment that you had bought in little town of the Mediterranean country known as Greece.

     You had just moved there from [home country]. It was a beautiful, quiet country, despite the financial crisis they were going through. The United States' Great Depression was a picnic compared to Greece's situation, but regardless, you had enough to get through. You had inherited a large fortune from your family, after all.

     After a few moments of watching the kittens playing, you noticed someone walk up to the small-fenced in area that they were held in. He was obviously someone who worked there, but you turned your attention back to kittens. There was one sitting alone in the corner. He seemed to be the runt of the litter, seeing as he was really small looking. A tap on the window made your gaze shoot to the source. It was the employee that had walked up to the kittens from the other side. Once you got a good look at him, you caught yourself blushing faintly. He was rather... cute. His dark brown hair fell almost down to his shoulders and his green eyes held no emotion. The Greek man gestured for you to come inside, and you did just that.

     It didn't take long to get to him, but you did walk a little quickly. "Hello," he greeted you as you approached him. You looked at him with a questioning look and he simply responded, "You don't look like you're from around here, so I assumed you speak English."

     "How did you know?" You asked him, a little surprised at his correct assessment.

     "I've lived here for... my entire life. It's easy for me to identify foreigners," he stated simply in his amazing Greek accent.

     "Oh..." You mumbled, but you smiled brightly at him. "By the way, my name is [Name]."
     "It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Heracles." He gave a small nod to you and leaned down to the kittens, then picked up the runt you were looking at earlier and handed him to you. "I believe you were taking interest in this one...?"

     "Yeah... he looked really lonely. I was considering adopting him since the landlord at my apartment allows pets." A gentle smile appeared on your face as you held the soft, mewling creature.

     "Would you happen to be living at the apartments across the street?" He asked curiously.

     "Yep! Why do you ask?"

     "I live over there as well. I think I've seen you a few times."

     "That's quite convenient, living across the road from where you work," you said, giggling a little as the kitten licked your cheek with its small, rough, pink tongue.

     "He seems to like you," he said, a small smile making its way to his lips. "You can have him."

     "R-Really?!" You asked excitedly as a cheerful grin split your face. "Thank you so much!"

     "It's nothing, really. You're alone in that apartment, any way, right? Both of you could use a friend."

     Another giggle escaped as you smiled at him, which he thought was adorable. "Thanks again. What if we hang out some time?" You asked, wanting to get to know this friendly Greek male a little better.

     "Sure, that sounds good. What's your room number?"

     "Three-fourteen," you replied brightly.

     "Ah, you're on the third floor. I'm on the fifth floor. I can get you on the way down. How does tomorrow sound?"

     "That sounds great!" You cheered and lightly hugged the kitten you were holding.
     "Great, I'll see you tomorrow, then."

     "See ya!" You waved to him as you exited the store and made your way back to your apartment.


*~ The Following Day ~*


     The kitten pranced around, chasing the feathered toy that you quickly dragged back and forth across the floor in front of [preferred name for cat]. You laughed a little as he tripped and tumbled over himself, but he got right back up as if nothing happened and started pawing cutely at the toy once again. Your attention was drawn to the door as you heard a soft tap. A smile crossed your lips as you got up and walked quickly over to the door and opened it. "Hello Heracles," you greeted kindly.

     "Kaliméra, [Name]," he replied with a sleepy tone. He did seem to be a little tired.

     "Didn't get much sleep last night, did you?"

     "Naí, actually I just woke up."

     "It's three hours past midday, and you just woke up?" You asked jokingly.

     He responded with a slight smile and then looked around you too see the kitten. "Did you name him, yet?"

     "Yeah. His name is [p/n/f/c]."

     "That's a good name. He seems to be really happy here." Heracles turned his attention back to you. "Are you ready to go now?" You gave a quick nod. "Alright... I was thinking we could go to a really beautiful park. It's within walking distance, so it isn't far."

     After giving another nod to him, you turned around and said, "Bye bye, [p/n/f/c]. I'll be back soon." You and the sleepy Greek then left the room, you quickly locking the door and following him to your destination.


*~ Later ~*


     Both of you sat under the shade of a tree at the park. The trunk was wide enough for the both of you to sit against it. The peaceful scene happened to be only five minutes away by foot. You had both been there for a good hour so far and the both of you had also shared several of your interests, pet peeves, favourites, and past stories. "Haha... You really did that as a child?" He asked, continuing the subject that had been going on for the past few minutes.

     You grinned and laughed a little, playfully punching his shoulder. "Shut it, you. I was young, I didn't know any better!"

     "It sounds pretty cute to me. In fact, you yourself are really cute."

     A pink blush covered your face and you pouted a little. "I-I'm not cu-..."

     "Yes, you are," he interrupted, placing a hand on yours and smiling lightly. As a darker blush took over your cheeks, you looked away shyly.

     "U-Uh... Thank you..." You stuttered out. The green-eyed male chuckled a little and gently grabbed your chin, turning your head back to face him, and he placed a soft kiss on your cheek. Your heart melted at how gentle he was being.

     "I know it's only been a day, but... I really like you." His voice was a little nervous, a he had a faint blush of his own on his face.

     "I-I..." You started, but you couldn't get yourself to say anything else. A short, soft laugh came from him and he wrapped an arm around your waist, pulling you closer. You relaxed and rested your head on his shoulder.

     "You don't have to say anything..." His sleepy voice trailed off. Your gaze turned up to him and you giggled quietly at the site.

     'He fell asleep...' You thought, beginning to feel a little sleepy yourself. Your eyes drifted closed and you fell asleep in no time. The both of you were soundly sleeping against one another for quite some time.
